Winter is coming and if you are working outdoors you need real waterproof workwear. Something that will keep you dry for long periods in serious downpours and allow you to work safely and unhindered on construction sites, roads, and busy ports.

At Leedsafe we know about workwear and how important it is to get the right garment for the conditions. We drew on all this knowledge and expertise when we commissioned The Robuck Premium TTMC-W17 Milford Jacket. The ultimate in working rain wear it is designed to keep your staff dry in the harsh winter conditions of New Zealand.

SEALED SEAMS WITH HIGH WATERPROOF RATING

Seams can be a point of weakness in waterproof gear. In poorly designed pieces or those designed for a light shower rather than working in full out winter rain, any seam can offer a place for water to enter. So, with the Milford Jacket we designed it with three-layer seam-sealing tape on all seams, even the hood – so no water is getting through.

We also thought about pockets. Your staff need them for convenience, but you do not want them to be a point of weakness. That is why in the Milford Jacket the large pockets have all been fitted with high-quality waterproof zips.

Features like these coupled with premium, 3-layer Ripstop fabric give the jacket its high waterproof rating of 25,000mm and a breathability rating of 5,000mm. Basically this means the jacket will keep your staff dry in the most severe weather conditions and make sure they stay comfortable even when working up a sweat.

RAINWEAR PRACTICAL DESIGN

QuoteOften when staff are working outside they need to be able to use their hands freely and be sure that water will not roll down their arms and into their jackets. That is why the Milford jacket is fitted with neoprene cuffs with adjustable Velcro fastenings so that they can be tightened according to wrist size.

For extra warmth and flexibility, the Milford Jacket is designed to take an additional liner – the Robuck Quilted Liner. This can be zipped in on extra cold days.

A Teflon coated outer fabric makes it much harder for oil, asphalt, water, and dirt to stick to the jacket providing improved resistance even when in heavy work conditions. This will keep your team looking smarter for longer.

RAINWEAR SAFETY

We take safety seriously at Leedsafe and we know all about the typical workplace hazards our customers and their staff have to manage. So, we designed the Milford Jacket with this in mind.

The hood can be worn as is, but it also has the flexibility to fit over a hard hat when required. In addition, cut back peripherals ensure maximum vision so that staff can see what is going on around them.

Meanwhile highly visible orange fabric with 50mm segmented retro-reflective tape on the front, back and sleeves of the jacket ensure that the wearer is highly visible both day and night. The back of the jacket is marked with an X for easy night-time differentiation between front and back.
